Evening, children gather around the fire, the old miller begins to tell them a fairy tale. In his tale, the sailor Mykolka goes to Mr. Adam to teach his daughter Khrystynka to read. But on the way to the estate, Mykolka learns that the village has been taken over by evil forces, werewolves and airmen, and Mr. Adam himself is in captivity. Mykolka and Khrystinka decide to free the prisoners and the land from the evil, but for this they will have to go through many trials, one of which may be beyond their power...
