The director filmed chronicles about the East and about volunteer battalions - even when Savchenko was not the main character. And in the process of work, Nadiya appeared - as a heroine who personifies the idea of ​​volunteer battalions and public initiative. The documentary film "Our Hope" adds details to the portrait of Nadiya Savchenko, reveals her character, looks into her childhood - and the monumental figure of the Hero of Our Time acquires extremely personal and unexpectedly fragile features. Against the background of the annexation of Crimea, hostilities in the East, Nadya is told by her mother and sister, the fighters who fought with her, and people who are not indifferent to her fate.
