Rio, Eu Te Amo
Rio, Eu Te Amo
Someone believes that it is magic, while someone does not trust it or does not believe in its existence. But the fact remains that loving is beautiful, which is what the directors of this film almanac are trying to show. As in the case of previous similar projects, the basis of "Rio, I love you" is a series of stories, the main character of which is love in the city. Some can be believed, some look too fabulous, because Rio is an amazing city-holiday, where anything can happen. And all this is shown in the person of well-known actors, such as John Turturro, Harvey Keitel or Jason Isaacs. Read more Combining as many as eleven different stories in the form of a short film, "Rio, I Love You" became the third film in the series "about love" after "Paris, I Love You" (2006) and "New York, I Love You" (2009). The Russian selection "Moscow, I love you" was not officially included in the series. In addition to the fact that the city of Rio became the main character, the tape in the tradition of the line shows at least ten love stories. This is what is required by the rule under which the films listed above are entered under one line. Initially, the filming was planned for 2010, towards the end of which they started. The project itself was officially put into production in June 2009. The initiator was Emmanuel Benben, the producer who produced the first two films. He also produced "Rio, I love you". The budget amount consists of 20 million BRL. Not only domestic directors acted as directors, but many from other continents as well. For example, the film almanac features short films by Stefan Elliott (Australia), Lim Sang-soo (South Korea), and John Turturro (USA), who also starred in one of the episodes.
