Read more The theatrical play "Grimm, Grimm, Grimm" served as the basis for the film script "The Secret of the Princesses". It was created by Gennady Gladkov, a composer known for his works for the films "Ordinary Miracle", "Gentlemen of Fortune", "12 Chairs" and other popular films of the Soviet space. The play is based on three well-known fairy tales, which in the end became something new, but at the same time so familiar. These fairy tales belong to the pen of the Grimm brothers and are called "The Brave Tailor", "Trampled Shoes" and "Seven Princes of Ravens". The composer also became the creator of music and songs for the musical film "Secrets of Four Princesses" by Oleh Shtrom. The studio "KARO-Production", which created the film, was previously engaged in the production and release of the TV series "Gamers", based on the dilogy of the same name. For director Oleg Shtrom, this is not the first feature film in his resume, but the first children's musical film. The fairy tale was filmed especially for the 200th anniversary of the publication of the first fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm. In addition, the director made a bet on the fact that no one had shot such a musical film for a long time, although the audience of post-Soviet countries always accepted this genre well. About 3 million dollars were invested in the film. The film crew first worked in the studio named after Gorky, and later on the territory of the Czech Republic.
