Special effects from WETA Digital by Peter Jackson (The Lord of the Rings, King Kong, Eragon, Van Helsing). In Alaska in winter, the day is no different from the night - complete darkness. And so - a whole month. There would be nothing unusual in this, if the forces of evil, vampires, terrorizing the small town of Burrow did not crawl out of the usual darkness. Without any hope of rescue, with minimal provisions and in the freezing cold, a small group of people, led by Sheriff Eben and his wife Stella, try to make it to dawn. But how do you do that when you still have 30 days of total darkness ahead of you? The film is based on the graphic novels by Steve Niles and Ben Templesmith.
