El laberinto del fauno
Spain, 1944. A group of rebels fights the fascists in the mountain forests of northern Navarre. Ophelia - a 10-year-old lonely and dreamy girl - moves with her pregnant mother Carmen to the military camp of Captain Vidal's stepfather. Vidal is an arrogant and brutal officer in Franco's army, who must rid the area of the rebels at any cost. Ophelia, fascinated by magical tales, finds an ancient abandoned labyrinth near her home.
