A young lawyer from the state of Florida, Kevin Lomax, has not lost a single case, although he has taken on seemingly unwinnable trials. And so, after another case, Lomax is unexpectedly offered a position as a consultant in the large New York law firm "Milton Corporation", which is headed by a charming fat man, John Milton. Kevin brilliantly passes the trial stage, winning several high-profile cases and becoming close to the head of the company. Meanwhile, the young wife of the new lawyer legend of New York, Mary Ann, feels that the momentary rise of her husband's career is connected with some evil, she begins to be haunted by strange visions that Kevin does not want to notice...
