The Lisbon family has five teenage daughters. After 13-year-old Cecilia commits suicide, her sisters become the object of close attention of all the residents of the town. Especially the neighborhood boys who arrange real surveillance of the girls. Wanting to isolate their daughters from the people around them, parents gradually stop all communication with the outside world and forbid their daughters to leave the house.
