In Alaska, in the period of white nights, two detectives - experienced Will Dormer and his partner Hap Eckhart - arrive in a quiet town from energetic Los Angeles. Together with the local representative of the law, the young enthusiast Ellie Barr, they are called to solve the murder of a 17-year-old schoolgirl, which shook the whole county. Ellie looks like Dormer in everything, studied his past cases, and does not even suspect that now he and Hap are absorbed in thoughts about how to "cleanse" themselves from the internal investigation department that digs into their past.
